On East side of the Little Miami River, North of Strout Road
The town was founded by Edward Senior in 1904, an ammunition merchant from Cincinnati who built a powder factory here.
There are several buildings and foundations still standing today.
The factory made gun powder during World War I as well as for miners and for clearing land.
At its height, the town was large enough to have a small hotel, a school and a number of houses.
The factory experienced several fatal explosions.
